Choosing a Wedding Ring Pillow
Many different cultural traditions include the use of a wedding ring pillow used by a young ring bearer to bring the wedding rings down the aisle. They are usually small, often between eight and ten inches square. They will usually include some sort of method for attaching the wedding rings, such as a ribbon or small box. You will find many different styles of them, many of which contain trimmings such as rhinestones, pearls, ribbons, charms, and bows.
Often it is used with ceremonial, or fake, wedding rings instead of the real things, which are given to the best man for safekeeping. This ensures that the young ring bearer will not lose the actual rings. This also enables you to securely sew the ceremonial rings onto the pillow as they will not need to be quickly removed during the ceremony. When it does contain the real rings, one pillow is often used for both rings that will be used during the ceremony. Some couples, however, will prefer to use a separate pillow and ring bearer for each ring.
While they are most often square, you can find them in just about every shape, including adorable heart shapes. There is also a wide selection of shapes available. Some people will choose to add decorations to a different kind of pillow instead of purchasing a pillow made especially for a wedding ceremony.
Remember that it will be a part of your special celebration and most likely in the pictures for all the years to come. Choosing the right pillow will make for beautiful shots to be treasured as part of your wedding album. It often will become a treasured keepsake that will adorn your home long after the ceremony is over.
